Well, the new front end is up. It helps me, because well, it's better organised. lets me link stuff easier.

the admin interface is getting there, slowly, having to make a few decisions, which could turn out to be a real pain in the ass. Also motivating my self to write yet another login page, so i can just have a link to the admin section is hard. oh well.

oh, i also go in for that right knee recontruction on wednesday, blah to that

it's coming along nicely, and i've preety much done all i want to with the front end for the user.

it's now all about finishing the admin part, then i'll upload it all in one go. should be a new pic to go with it. going to try and get people to upload their spoot pics to my pics door soon, just cause i can.

I finally got around to buying clintons book. Good read, so far. Mostly been about his early child hood/teens so far. It's progressing into his tertiary education years, so it hasn't been dragging along, been moving along nicely actually.

what else, ummmm, not alot really. I've come to realise that i want to buy a 700$ video card, which is a bit extravagant, but i WANT IT. I should be able to afford it, if the money i'm owed ever comes through. The problem is, will it all come together before d3 comes out here ! Lets hope so.

Saw king arthur yesdterday, was ok. Was alot better then i was expecting it to be, but i was expecting it to be utter tripe. I still don't understand why keira wants to get a booby job, she's ultra hot as it is, with nice boobies too. While we were on the topic, i heard that tara reid got a boob job, sif she needed it either. Tara is one of those chicks that has gotten cuter with age, so hot. While on chicks, rachael leigh cook is super fantastic.

so, what have i been doing all week. nothing. and fuck it was great. tried to do sutn friday night, but nothing happend, the sucked. but the rest of it ruled. shame about the union i guess, tho i hope that referee loses his license to ref. That was the worst refereeing i've seen since bill harrigan retired.

i've almost finished mech assault. i think i'm onto the last mission. think. its been fun so far, all the killing and meching and blowing stuff up. nice control system. looks good, runs fast. The missions have been varried enough. this last mission is sux tho. 8 minutes to get into the base, then go 6 or 7 v me. fucking shitting me, i'm barely able to kill the first mech before i'm dead. i guess it's a start though. but i've had so much fun in the sp mode. almost makes me want to get live.

oh, and yeah, doom3 went gold

the scene, the ball goes forward, an early raid, a good run, pulls 2 defenders, a great through ball, and bam, germany are up 1 - 0 after 7 minutes. sort of disheartening. but we pull our shit together. from the kick off germany go forward again, this time the raid is repelled, ffrom about 10:00 tll about 30:00 it's end to end soccer, as we repell one raid, and start our own, germany do the same. for the last 15 minutes of the half germany are the only ones doing any attacking, 3 yellow cards and 15 minutes later, it's half time, we breathe a sigh of relief.

a great slide tackle clears an early raid, quick movment through the mid field, and a great through ball sees us taking it up the right wing, another through ball has it on the stikers feet, the inside players are cut off by 2 defenders, the choice is made, run it and shoot, with just kahn left to beat, the kick, high, close post, curves in a bit, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAALLLLLLLLLL. this was about 5 - 7 mins into the second half, was fantastic. from there it was a mid field duel for about 15 minutes, then they got a really great run going, all the way into the box, and a slide tackle on the german player was awarded a penalty. what unfolded set the standard for the rest of the game. the german player lined the kick up. came in, and saved !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was truely a moment to savour. for the next 10 minutes it was mainly a defensive effort to keep the german team out, great team defence, big tackles when they had to be made, and no red cards. the remaining time, the last 10 or so minutes was the revers of the previous 10, we were manageing to get down to their half, but were held out.

so, it's penalty shoot out time. both get their first shot in, we got blocked on our second, and theirs went in. both of us got our third and fourth. shits down to the wire, our shot barely goes in, just beating the reach of the keeper. we need that save, that magical save. the german guy puts it right, it's curving, it's going close to the post, it's saved ! the 6th shots went in, every one was tense, our 7th went in, their 7th is aimed just left, the keeper dive, ball hits him on the legs, it's saved, we win. PWND BITCHES

so yeah, new site. it's basically the same design at the moment as the old site, but i've designed it ground up to work with php. php sort of gives me hope with scripting languages, the API for it fucking rules. it's simple enough to implement, and for an interpretor the error messages are decent too.

on actual news, looks like i've passed every subject i need to, to get my degree. there is one subject tho, where my mark is "RW" result withheld, and i'm told to contact the subject convenor. my guess is it's because my grades weren't actually due out till friday buisness hours, instead of thursday.

so what's it like to be finished uni, after 4.5 years. and the previous 12 years of school. fucking great. knowing that i won't have to do another assignment, another weird ass research assignment, it's such a good feeling.

but there is that pressure to go and get a job. tbh, i spent the last month of uni pulling really long days, with no time off on weekends. so, i'm still sort of sleeping that off, sleeping 12 or 15 hours a day, usually a 9 hour sleep at night, and then a nap in the afternoon. its not me being lazy, i'm just genuinely tired. hell, even when i'm awake atm i feel tired. i'm starting to get out and get back into some sports and stuff tho, hopefully this will help me not feel so tired/

The actual graduation ceremony should be some time in august. looks as if my brother is flying up from canberra for it, bit weird, didn't really expect that. I sorta get the feeling that he looks for any excuse to come back to bris tho. can't blame him, the place fucking rulz.

also looks like i'm off to syd for a few weeks soon. going to do some work down there. hopefully after that i can take a few more weeks off back in bris, then start looking for full time work. the work in syd is basically helping a company start again with their IT. They've been fucked over by some people just abusing their lack of understanding of IT related issues. I actually sorta feel sorry for them. My main hesitation is how much money they are throwing at the whole thing, it's a bit weird, i've never really done this apart from my dads work, and they only have 6 people there. So to go into this place where they are putting about 100k on the table, it's a bit weird.
